your toilet bowl and your sinks drain into the sewage drain. Rain water goes into the storm drain..

  2. Randy Snow Said:

i believe that the storm drain water is reused for people and the sewage drain is taken to the ocean

a storm drain is a compartment that is underground kinda like a box and it gets cleaned out either every week or every month depending how much trash gets thrown. A sewage drain is a pipeline leading to the sewage plant where our wastes are processed in the least polluting way.

sewage drain goes to the county or city sewage plant to be cleaned and recycled…storm is water run off from storms water leaks etc.

  5. Titus Dudley Said:

Storm drain collects stuff like dirt or grass trimming that are laying in the streat after it rains, and many helps to reduce flooding.
Sewage drains collect waste, and the water you use from houses and then takes it to a treatment plant.

    storm drains carry rain runoff

sewage drains your bathroom, and kitchen waste water..

in major cities, sewage drains lead to treatment plants, where sewage is filtered out, and incinerated…

Storm drains handle massive quantities of runoff- they are made to shunt the water to certain places, and away from others- Sewage drains take household wastewater to wherever it needs to go for treatment and/or disposal. In the past, many systems had a crossover function- in order to handle peak rainwater, CSO’s, Combined Sewage Overflows were used to get the water out of problem areas FAST, when the runoff got to a certain height or volume. The problem, of course, is that the sewage didn’t get treated or brought to treatment areas, but at least it does prevent total flooding.

Sewage frains contain human and industrial waste and in the EU, USA, and similar countires, the water goes to a treatment plant before clean water is discharged to lake, stream, or ocean.

Storm water is that which results from rain. It can be collected in street drains, side ditches, or just overland flow. Storm water in most places goes directly in the water body, sometimes through a settling pond first. However, in some older cities, some stormwater is collected and added to the sewage system. Richmond, VA is an example.

  9. Whitney Castle Said:

Sewage drains normally go to sewage treatment plants to get treated before dumping into a river or ocean. A storm drain is relatively clean water to most cities don’t bother to treat it before dumping into a river or ocean. A storm drain is just rain runoff. Except for soap from amatuer car washes it’s usually pretty clean.
