Trenchless Sewer Repair?

sewer repair

Can anyone recommend a plumber in the Phila, PA area who does trenchless sewer pipe repair? We’ve got a hole in the ground near the drain pipe by the curb and I want to get it repaired before there is a sink hole. I’ve read that trenchless repair is less expensive than a whole front yard dig.

I can’t see how a pipe could be repaired without digging it up. I have heard of a liner being inserted into drain pipes but this reduces the interior of the pipe and could cause more problems.

They shoot a “missile ” under the ground. It’s a 4″ air powered ram that is supplied by one of those huge construction air compressors. It beats it way through the ground and leaves a tunnel for new pipe. It doesn’t work as good in rocky ground and the route is not always to pinpoint accuracy.
